In tonight’s opening episode, Adepitan is in the Solomon Islands, travelling by boat to witness the flooding of land masses in the archipelago owing to climate change, while in Australia he comes face to face with bushfires and gets to grips with the renewable energy sources that are powering Tazmania. Fans of The Queen’s Gambit should check out Mira Nair’s biographical tale of a poor, young Ugandan girl, Phiona Mutesi (the engaging Madina Nalwanga), who became a chess champion.
