The Electrification of New York City Vehicles
Climate experts say the city must electrify transport faster to reach its goal of reducing greenhouse-gas emissions 80 percent by 2035.
New York City aims to make all its vehicles fully electric by 2040.
Electrification is part of the sanitation department’s job cleaning the city, the commissioner, Edward Grayson, said. “It doesn’t make sense to clean the streets while polluting the air.”
